ZebPay To Offer Crypto SIPs in India
The high prices of top cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum can be a deterrent for many investors. To encourage new investment, Singapore-based crypto exchange ZebPay has launched a new app called ZEBB to allow Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) options in crypto.
ZEBB allows users to begin their Bitcoin and Ether SIPs with investments starting from INR 100. The new project ZEBB aims to lower the barrier of entry for investing in Bitcoin and Ether, ZebPay said in a statement.
Users need to sign up and complete their KYC process to initiate buying. Once signed up, users can also automate their SIP investing regularly (weekly) and enjoy instant buy/sell without paying fees to ZebPay. Additionally, the company claims to ensure customer data protection through cold storage of cryptos, third-party security audits, and bug bounty programs.
The purpose of enabling Bitcoin and Ether SIPs is to encourage investors to take the rupee cost averaging approach in which a user can invest a fixed amount at regular intervals to buy more shares of the investment over time.
“Bitcoin and Ethereum are revolutionary technologies with tremendous growth potential, and SIP is known as one of the most efficient models of wealth creation helping users to invest in the best possible average buy price,” said Avinash Shekhar, Co-Chief Executive Officer, ZebPay.
