Binance US Seeks $100 Million Funding Amidst Significant Valuation Decline
Binance US is reportedly on the hunt for up to $100 million in new funding, targeting a valuation of around $1 billion. This marks a dramatic decline from its previous valuation of $4.5 billion in 2022.
The Miami-based exchange's efforts come as it seeks to recover from a series of regulatory hurdles and market share losses. A recent Bloomberg report highlights the company's intention to revitalize its operations in the competitive U.S. crypto market.
CEO Stephen Gregory, who took the helm in March 2026, is focusing on reducing trading fees and expanding services across all 50 states. The company aims to introduce new products, including derivatives and prediction markets.
Binance US's previous funding round in April 2022 raised over $200 million, but the landscape has changed significantly since then, particularly following regulatory actions that impacted its banking relationships and trading activity.
Despite the challenges, Binance US is working to restore dollar deposits and withdrawals, which were disrupted in the past. The proposed capital raise represents a strategic move to enhance liquidity and regain investor confidence.
