Fireblocks Launches Liquidity Market to Enhance Stablecoin Payment Solutions
Fireblocks has introduced its innovative Liquidity Market, aiming to resolve the critical liquidity challenges faced in stablecoin payments. The company emphasizes that the primary issue is not the speed of transfers, but rather the accessibility of executable liquidity.
In a recent announcement, Fireblocks highlighted that its platform processes an impressive average of over $300 billion in stablecoin transactions monthly, marking a staggering 110% growth in payment volumes year-over-year.
The traditional method of sourcing liquidity involves a cumbersome manual process where payment firms request quotes from a limited number of OTC desks via various communication channels. This method becomes increasingly inefficient as companies expand into new markets.
The newly launched Liquidity Market allows users to simultaneously request and compare quotes from multiple OTC desks, streamlining the process of finding the best price. This tool not only enhances efficiency but also consolidates credit, balances, limits, and trading history into a single interface.
Fireblocks has partnered with over 10 non-bank desks to provide liquidity at a multi-billion-dollar scale, serving more than 325 payment companies. The platform maintains a neutral stance, ensuring it does not take the opposite side of trades or hold user assets.
Scheduled to launch during the upcoming Money20/20 event, the Liquidity Market will initially feature liquidity providers B2C2 and Zodia Markets, with additional desks expected to join shortly thereafter.
As the stablecoin landscape evolves, Fireblocks' Liquidity Market is poised to significantly improve liquidity sourcing, ultimately benefiting payment firms navigating the complexities of the crypto economy.
