Travala Adds Millions Of Holiday Homes For Users To Book With Crypto
The traveling website Travala has now added more than 1 million accommodation options users can book with cryptocurrency.
The online travel booking website has added more new homes across 195 countries to its site.
Travala allows its users to book Holiday homes and apartments with over 30 different cryptocurrencies that include Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB), and Travala.com’s native coin AVA.
As per the blog post on the Travala website, the addition of Homes “marks Travala.com’s entry into one of the fastest-growing verticals of the travel industry.”
As per the first-quarter earnings call with parent company Booking Holdings, that new trend has been coming up towards domestic bookings and alternatives to traditional hotels. The CEO of Travala.com, Juan Otero referenced this trend:
“Demand for non-hotel accommodation is growing fast so the launch of Homes couldn’t come at a better time.”
Otero further added that new additions have brought Travala.com’s travel products that can be booked with cryptocurrencies to over 3 million.
Travala had announced its partnership earlier this week with Agoda, and a partnership with Expedia in July 2020 and with Booking.com in November 2019. The giant has also partnered with blockchain-based booking service TravelByBit and is backed by Binance.
