Third Largest Whale Holds More BTC Than MicroStrategy.
Today, the third-largest Bitcoin whale has achieved a considerable milestone. The whale is holding more BTC than Michael Saylor’s MicroStrategy.
It seems that the whale has taken advantage of the recent Crypto crash and has added more to its bag. On January 22nd, the whale added 328 BTC worth almost $12 million, and today it has bought 160 BTC more, worth almost $6 million.
The most impressive thing is that whale is holding more Bitcoin than the publicly-traded company MicroStrategy. Michael Saylor’s tech firm has 124,391 BTC.
On December 30th, 2021, the company revealed that it has purchased another 1914 BTC by paying $94.2 million. The recent purchase brought the total number of bitcoins that MicroStrategy holds to 124,391.
Currently, the third-largest whale holds 124,485 BTC.
MicroStrategy’s latest announcement states that their average price on the BTC they’ve purchased is approximately $30,159. While the third-largest whale has a cost basis of about $22,000 per BTC and sits on a profit of about $1.75 billion.
