Now Earn Bitcoin By Just Walking Or Running
The founder of cross-platform messenger IM+ launches new app ‘sMiles’ that will let you earn crypto for “doing things you already do.”
StandApp, a healthcare startup has made an announcement regarding launching an app that will enable the users to earn Bitcoin for driving, running, biking and doing all daily activities based on the Bitcoin Lightning Network.
The app named sMiles aims to boost bitcoin adoption and make people wealthier and healthier. The head of the project, Igor Berezovsky explained that sMiles mean sats&miles and also stated that the app is for everyone.
The users' device and smartphones will be optimized by the app to measure distances people have walked or traveled for calculating their earnings. Users can also get a bitcoin for driving but it won’t be as much as for users who walk as the main motive of the app is to bring a healthy lifestyle.
Once the user downloads the app, he/she starts getting bitcoin for permitting the app to access location, notification, and other functions users enable. When cryptos are ready for the withdrawal it could be transferred to any external Lightning-wallet.
The user needs no registration to use the app except when a user wants to make a withdrawal of more than 10,000 satoshis. Currently, the funds are supported by friends and family for sMiles as there is no institutional funding for the project just yet.
The startup also intends to integrate similar functionality into the IM+ cross-platform app as the launch of the app is scheduled for mid-May, after bitcoin halving.
