Just Eat is an online food delivery company that has now added Bitcoin (BTC) among other payments mode for France customers. Users can now pay for their food delivery in the popular cryptocurrency. Just Eat has been taken over by Takeaway.com and this new design may be the result of it.
Just Eat France published a recent customer service notice which states that they have added more payment options such as Bitcoin, Google Pay, and Apple Pay on its app. However, the previous payment modes such as PayPal, credit card, checks, or restaurant vouchers, etc., will still be available for the company’s service.
Just Eat France is one of the leading food delivery services which lets customers place orders from more than 15,000 restaurants in France. Capital.fr’s Gregory Raymond believes that the Bitcoin payment rolled out by the company will equally help to push up the use of cryptocurrencies by the public, following its customer base.
“Just Eat is a major player in the delivery of meals in France; this initiative could help to democratize the use of cryptocurrencies among the general public.”
The collaboration of Just Eat France and BitPay enabled the bitcoin payment. The Bitcoin transactions will be tracked by the current price charged by Bitpay. In case, bitcoin payments get canceled, customers will be refunded in Euros.
