El Salvador's President Predicts More Countries Will Make Bitcoin Legal Tender In 2022
Recently, El Salvador president Nayib Bukele tweeted his prediction of Bitcoin for this year. Bukele claims that two more nations will adopt Bitcoin as legal tender in 2022. In 2021, with the support of Central American citizens, the country accepted Bitcoin as legal tender. At the time of the Crypto market crash, El Salvador keeps buying more and more BTC.
In the Bitcoin prediction, Bukele states that leading Cryptocurrency is likely to reach new highs at $100,000 in the coming months.
He tweeted, “My 2022 predictions on Bitcoin: It will reach $100k, two more countries will adopt it as legal tender, BTC will become a major electoral issue in US elections this year, Bitcoin City will commence construction, and Volcano bonds will be oversubscribed.” Last month, El Salvador expanded its Bitcoin holdings by adding 21 Bitcoin.
El Salvador is the only nation in the world that is legally holding Bitcoin. Back in September 2021, the country also made an announcement over tax exemptions on Bitcoin profits for foreign investors.
2021 has been a year of high volatility with lots of Crypto corrections. However, currently, Bitcoin has begun the new year with stability. Since January 1st, 2022, Bitcoin is trading between $46,000 and $47,000. Its market cap is also stabilizing around the $900 billion level.
Santiment pointed, “Bitcoin’s Network Realized Profit/Loss is a fantastic way to gauge when traders are in pain, and the network is trading a significant gain or loss. Ever since the December 3rd dump, there have been significant dips in and (just) out of the buy zone.”
