Doctors Warn VIP’s Against COVID 19 Vaccines For BTC In India
Patients and residents of India are receiving offers of unverified COVID-19 vaccine which is not authorized by the government. Scammers are targeting high-profile people and asked to send a certain amount of bitcoin in exchange for the vaccine. Doctors are warning to stay away from such drugs.
Most VIP’s in the state of Karnataka of India are receiving such offers. These vaccines are sold even in the black market. Many doctors in the have red-flagged and warned residents not to receive drugs.
Dr. HM Prasanna, the president of Indian Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes’ Association (Phana) stated that he is aware of such vaccines are being administered to residents for Bitcoin. He said, “one must exercise caution (in such cases) and follow the government’s guidelines in this regard.”
There is no legal approval for the distribution of vaccines from the Indian government. Though certain vaccines are being used in other countries, using them to treat COVID-19 patients is considered illegal as the government hasn’t permitted it. Doctors have stated that “Indian citizens must wait for the government to roll out the product through the Drug Controller General of India.”
Doctors have also asked the government to track black marketers who are offering such vaccines and take strict measures against them.
