Crypto Exchange Bittrex Will Remove Three Privacy Coins
One of the top crypto exchanges Bittrex made an announcement of delisting Monero, Zcash, and Dash by the 15th of this month on its platform.
The firm has not given clear reasons for delisting these three tokens but it could be the ever-changing regulations and policies guiding the operations of the industry and compliance issues.
Talking about privacy coins, they are crypto assets which transactions cannot be traced. Bitcoin and other digital asset transactions can be traced which is not in the case of privacy coins. Monero's transactions are automatically private while Zcash and Dash give the option to select between going private or not.
Nowadays, there are many rumors about privacy coins as authorities believe that the asset is being used to perpetuate illegal activities. White House market only accepts Monero transactions because of its privacy feature, then the fears of the authorities are seen.
Bittrex is one of those exchanges that has delisted Ripple’s native token on their platform.
Bittrex had made the announcement this week regarding discontinuing XRP due to the litigation between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Ripple over if XRP is a commodity or not.
The xrp price has suffered massively before finding a level of support around the $0.20 level.
