Bitcoin All Time High Hashrate Drops To 133M TH Sec
This month we saw Bitcoin hashrate breaking all the previous records when the price was trading above the $11,000 price level. Today, there was a decline in hashrate when cryptocurrency posted a bullish price.
On October 14, the bitcoin network reached an all-time high in hash rate at 144 exahashes per second (EH/s). During the same time, the price of bitcoin was flaunting at around $11,000. It is to be noted that bitcoin has been rising after the third halving event, which was followed by an early hashrate drop to 90.2M EH/s.
As per the data from Bitcoin blockchain explorer, Blockchain.com, shows a huge drop in Bitcoin hashrate. Today, i.e. 25th October, the hashrate went down to 133.348M TH/s. Compared with the all-time hash rate of 144 TH/s, the current BTC hashrate shows a decline of 11M TH/s in less than two weeks. When there is an increase in the bitcoin hash rate it indicates that miners are active. Bitcoin hash rate drop means less competition and there are few miners who are inactive.
Looking after the chart from Blockchain.com, the Bitcoin network’s hashrate began to decline when the price of the cryptocurrency started to show a bullish price. Fews days back, the Bitcoin price reached $13,000 which was the highest for this year. Currently, the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization is trading at $13,099 on Coinmarketcap, a crypto price tracking platform.
