YouTube Bans Crypto Channel But Receives Negative Response From Crypto Fans
Youtube has targeted another cryptocurrency channel on its platform claiming that it didn’t follow community policies.
Altcoin Daily was a Youtube channel that used to share crypto-related content with 214,000 subscribers. However, in a 31st July tweet, the channel owners Aaron and Austin Arnold, the two brothers stated that their channel was terminated by YouTube for “encouraging illegal activities.”
The two said on Twitter,
“We are a news/opinion channel and We have never promoted anything illegal. Appeal has been submitted.”
The brother chooses the source Twitter to reach out to the Altcoin Daily’s 27,700 Twitter followers asking them to contact YouTube and request reinstatement, using hashtags including #FreeAltcoinDaily.
However, today the Altcoin Daily reported that After more than two days in which the channel content was completely inaccessible to subscribers the YouTube had reversed the ban.
It's one the first time when youtube has deleted or ban channel, back in 2019 December, YouTube deleted videos with content related to cryptocurrency. However, YouTube had reported to one of these bans as “an error” during the review process.
In June, YouTube had shut down the channel Bitcoin.com which use to provide content on cryptocurrency news by stating that they have violated YouTube's Terms of Service. However, after two days, Youtube restored the channel.
