U.S. Bitcoin ETFs Attract $1.92 Billion in Inflows Amid Institutional Interest
In a significant display of institutional interest, U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs recorded an impressive $1.92 billion in net inflows over just five days. This surge culminated on Friday with $307.45 million added, primarily driven by Blackrock's IBIT, which contributed a substantial $239.28 million.
The momentum didn't stop with bitcoin. Ether funds also experienced robust demand, pulling in $184.93 million on Friday alone, bringing their five-day total to $697.18 million. This trend highlights a growing appetite for cryptocurrencies among institutional investors.
As a result of this influx, the total assets in bitcoin ETFs reached $96.07 billion, inching closer to the coveted $100 billion mark. Notably, every bitcoin and ether ETF that reported inflows during this period saw no outflows, showcasing a strong and sustained demand.
Other cryptocurrencies like XRP and Solana also benefited from this bullish sentiment, with XRP ETFs attracting $18.38 million and Solana funds adding $10.07 million. This broad interest across various crypto assets indicates a vibrant market environment.
The recent rally in bitcoin's price, combined with increased institutional allocations, has positioned the cryptocurrency sector for potential growth as we move forward.
