Ethereum Project Lead Unveil New Bug Bounty Program
Everyone in the crypto community is eyeing on the upgrade of Ethereum. With that network has further decided to perfect its upcoming Eth 2.0 network. To make it perfect, the Project lead of Ethereum 2.0, Danny Ryan has made announcements of the bug bounty program to incentivize the Eth community and other bug hunters to find and report vulnerabilities.
The new program aims to make Ethereum 2.0 more strong to fight against the bugs present in protocols and its clients.
The new bounty program will focus on Phase 0 specifications and some of its software clients, such as Prysm, Lighthouse, and Teku.
As per the website, The Eth2 Bounty Program provides bounties for Eth2 (a major upgrade to Ethereum’s core consensus) bugs. We call on our community and all bug bounty hunters to help identify bugs in the protocols and clients.
Although the one who works with the codebase as a professional Ethereum developer is not eligible for the bounty rewards as stated in the bug bounty hunting rules. Also, Ethereum websites or Ethereum Foundation infrastructure in general, are not part of the bounty program.
The most awaited Eth 2.0’s Phase 0 is expected to launch anytime between December 2020 to early next year.
