Elon Musk Once Again Criticised Dogecoin Co Founder
The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, claims that the Dogecoin co-founder Jackson Palmer never wrote a single line of Dogecoin code.
Palmer responded through a tweet with a link to the Github page with his contributions.
Billy Markus, the fellow co-founder of Dogecoin, tried to defuse tensions by tweeting that neither he nor Palmer contributed much to the project that was originally intended to be nothing more than a joke.
Elon Musk further praised Markus’s “sense of humor” and “irreverence,” and said that these two qualities are a big part of why Dogecoin is popular. Palmer, who grew frustrated with the cryptocurrency community back in 2015, slammed the centibillionaire as “a self-absorbed grifter” at the peak of the Musk-driven Dogecoin mania last year. He also became famous after his tweet that stated crypto was controlled by a “powerful cartel.” Markus became more active in the crypto space by launching a new anti-crypto podcast called Griftonomics.
During a recent interview, Palmer said that Musk once wanted him to run a simple Python script he wrote for him in order to deal with cryptocurrency spam. He said that the Tesla boss wasn’t good at coding, hurting Musk’s ego.
Yesterday, Elon Musk criticized Palmer and his “nonsense script,” claiming that his kids were able to write better code “when they were 12.” “Jackson is a tool,” the Tesla boss wrote.
However, Palmer has defended his script, which he claims was able to detect less sophisticated phishing attacks.
