Elon Musk Guesses Identity Of Mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, said that the mystery man behind the creation of Bitcoin could be hyper-secretive Cryptocurrency expert Nick Szabo.
He shared this thought during a podcast of Lex Fridman, where he discussed multiple topics, including Cryptocurrencies, AI, and Tesla.
While talking about Nick Szabo, Musk said, “You can look at the evolution of ideas before the launch of bitcoin and see who wrote about those ideas. It seems as though Nick Szabo is probably, more than anyone else, responsible for the evolution of those ideas. He claims not to be Nakamoto, but I’m not sure that’s neither here nor there. But he seems to be the one more responsible for the ideas behind bitcoin than anyone else.”
Bitcoin was introduced to the world in 2009 and, it has now become a $2 trillion asset class. The man behind the creation of Bitcoin is still a mystery to the world.
There have been various speculations over the identity of the original creator, and it still remains a hot topic. However, those who have speculated were not been able to prove enough who it is.
The reason why Musk believes Szabo is Satoshi Nakamoto?
In 2014, the linguistics team found specific similarities in Szabo’s writing and Bitcoin white paper. The team said that the number of linguistic similarities between the two makes Szabo the closest guess for the original Satoshi.
Nicholas Szabo, aka Nick, is a legal scholar, Computer scientist, and cryptographer famous for his research in digital contracts and digital currency.
In 1989, he was graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in computer science and received a Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University Law School.
