Blockchain COVID 19 App Helps Government To Collect Health Data
The outbreak of coronavirus all over the world lead to the launch of the blockchain COVID-19 contact tracing app. With the aim to collect medical data and help the government to enforce lockdowns to avoid the spread of disease.
Blockchain technology is known for its high privacy and maintaining security data. In the course of tackling coronavirus, the question was raised regarding the violation of privacy. The researchers in Spain started working on developing blockchain COVID-19 contact tracing app which maintains privacy and checks the spread of disease.
All the governments are taking necessary actions to avoid the spread of the virus. In this process, a large number of citizen data is collected to ensure strict lockdowns. However, civil liberty groups are getting confused about the limitation of data collection.
A team from the University of Salamanca’s Institute of Biomedical Research has been working on a blockchain COVID-19 contact tracing app that ensures privacy and COVID-19 prevention. The team is also tracking the novel coronavirus evolution with the help of Al algorithms.
Along with collecting health data, the blockchain COVID-19 contact tracing app also helps governments with lockdowns and social distancing. When users download this app they have to create profiles (secured by private keys), and then allow the app to help accomplish the crucial tasks enforced by the regional authorities while being compliant with pandemic prevention measures.
