Bitmine Expands Ether Holdings by 32,447 ETH Amid 30% Surge in Ethereum Prices
Bitmine has significantly bolstered its ether treasury by acquiring an additional 32,447 ETH last week, coinciding with a remarkable 30% surge in Ethereum's price. This latest purchase brings Bitmine's total ether holdings to 5.85 million ETH, valued at approximately $14.3 billion.
The company's aggressive staking strategy has seen over 5.06 million ETH staked, enhancing its annualized yield outlook to an impressive $330 million. With this strategy, Bitmine is inching closer to its goal of owning 5% of the total Ethereum supply.
Chairman Tom Lee noted that this week's price jump is the strongest Ethereum has experienced since May 2025, a period that historically led to significant price increases in the following months. Lee highlighted that similar past surges resulted in ETH gaining 170% and 167% respectively.
As Bitmine continues to invest heavily in Ethereum, its staking operations are projected to generate substantial rewards. Currently, Bitmine's staking activities yield an annualized return of 2.67%, with potential earnings reaching $381 million at full scale.
