Bitcoin Trader In India Commits Suicide Over Losses
As per the report given by local media of the Bhatinda region of the Indian province of Punjab, a bitcoin trader committed suicide. The bitcoin trader faces losses in crypto trading and he decided to shoot his wife and two children to death before taking his own life. The trader leaves behind a suicide note stating that he faced severe pressure from investors, including a local political leader, over the loss.
The trader was living in a rental house and the shots were heard by the landlady. The lady informed the police and they arrived they saw the trader had committed suicide with two children and his wife dead at the scene.
However, trader suicide was an unfortunate event that occurred right before the Bitcoin price is rallying towards the all-time high make the tragedy even more ironic.
The suicide note leads to arrest and FIR against the 9 men charged with threatening the trader. The accused have been booked under Section 306 (abetment of suicide) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC.
There are also reports that the trader was working in partnership with another trading partner. However, the details are yet not revealed.
Though the event was unfortunate, the cryptocurrency trading industry is among one of the financial boosting areas in the post-COVID-19 world and driving positive change across the globe. Although such events occur when there is a lack of compulsory trading knowledge or being a victim of a scam.
