Bitcoin Is Now The Ninth Most Valuable Asset In The World
Bitcoin created a milestone last month where its price went up by 75% and 25% in the past week. The surge in the price was combined with newly minted Bitcoin that has resulted in a market capitalization of $638 billion.
Asset Dash is the leaderboard for assets that track stocks, exchange-traded funds, and cryptocurrencies. It has recently listed bitcoin as the ninth most valuable asset in the world looking after its market capitalization.
Two weeks ago, bitcoin took the place of Visa on the list and five days later it overtakes a $70 billion deficit to overtake Berkshire Hathaway, the company which Warren Buffett runs. Now it has also past shares in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing.
Apple is in the lead position with a market cap of $2.23 trillion followed by Microsoft ($1.65 trillion), Amazon ($1.62 trillion), Google's parent company Alphabet ($1.18 trillion), and Facebook ($773 billion).
If bitcoin continues its upward momentum it can take the place of Alibaba, Tesla, and Tencent. Bitcoin just wants t $12 billion to overtake.
While talking about cryptocurrencies, bitcoin isn’t the only crypto that is making the moves. The second largest cryptocurrency Ethereum has now become the 82nd-most-valuable asset, with a market capitalization north of $125 billion. Ethereum is up by 50 percent in the last week.
