Base Network Enhances User Control with New Cobalt Upgrade Features
Base has officially launched its Cobalt upgrade, marking a significant enhancement in user control over transactions on its Ethereum Layer 2 network. This upgrade introduces innovative features aimed at improving trading efficiency and asset management.
One of the key highlights of the Cobalt upgrade is the introduction of 'Validity Transactions.' This feature allows users to set specific conditions and expiration times for their transactions. For instance, traders can submit a swap that remains inactive until a predetermined asset price is reached, reducing the need for constant market monitoring.
Additionally, the upgrade expands the B20 token standard, incorporating compliance tools that facilitate the issuance and management of tokens. New functionalities, such as Composite Policies, enable issuers to combine various compliance requirements, streamlining the process of adhering to regulations.
The Cobalt upgrade is part of Base's broader roadmap, which includes plans for faster block times and advanced smart account features. These enhancements are designed to position Base as a robust infrastructure for both crypto trading and tokenized asset management.
