Atari to Include NFTs in Its Upcoming Metaverse Project
Atari- a best-known gaming company, plans to include an exclusive series of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on its new gaming platform- Atari Metaverse. Atari’s upcoming line of NFTs will consist of digital collectables covering gaming, music, and other media.
Atari has entered a strategic partnership with Bondly - an NFT firm that created the “PolkaPets” series of NFTs and Bondly Collectible Card Gam. This will be a crucial part of Atari’s upcoming Metaverse platform.
As per Bondly CEO-Brandon Smith, creators will be able to mint NFTs on Atari Metaverse and distribute them to fans, which then become access passes to new superfan experiences. However, a specific line of NFT will be announced shortly.
Users can buy Atari’s NFTs with the Atari token (ATRI), the Bondly token (BONDLY), and several major cryptocurrencies.
Atari has previously announced other cryptocurrency-related endeavours, including an Ethereum-based casino (9 March news) and an accompanying token (ATRI). Atari has also partnered with the Litecoin Foundation to accept LTC payments on some of its services.
