Apple Is Still Not Crypto Friendly, Says Brian Armstrong
Apple still holds anti-crypto policies even after crypto entered mainstream finance. Many investors are still surprised and worried about Apple’s anti-crypto policies. Recently, the CEO of Coinbase Brian Armstrong said that the tech giant still has trust issues with cryptocurrencies.
A few months ago, the crypto exchange Coinbase had warned its users that an application may leave the Apple store. Again, today the two giants are at crossroads when it comes to Apple anti-crypto policies.
Brian Armstrong expressed his views through a tweet in which he said that Apple anti-crypto policies are proving to be a hindrance in many ways. The tech giant Apple has been restricting various cryptocurrency-related functionalities on the Apple Store, including the ability to earn money and providing unhindered access to decentralized applications.
With the rise of DeFi, many investors are looking forward to investing in DeFi-related technologies. Coinbase CEO says that Apple anti-crypto policies have proven to be a great hindrance as iOS users are unable to experience the full functionalities offered by many crypto products and services.
The aloof nature of Apple towards crypto has slowed down the progress of cryptocurrencies. As of now, iOS users cannot make cryptocurrency by finishing tasks. Apple is also blocking unhindered dApp browsers.
Back in 2019, Coinbase had issued a warning that its dApp browser app may be removed from the Apple Store. The crypto exchange blamed tech giant Apple as the reason behind such a move. At that time, Google and Apple were both removing the dApp from their respective networks.
