AirTM Crypto Exchange Will Give $18M To Venezuelan Health Workers
Currently, AirTM cryptocurrency exchange has its operations running in Mexico but they have suggested Venezuelan citizens to use VPN to access the digital exchange platform. Also, AirTM is originally funded by a renowned crypto platform, Coinbase.
Around $18 million was seized from the Nicholas Maduro government and that will be shared with health workers through Crypto exchange AirTM.
As per the report, the $18 million that is to be distributed through Crypto exchange AirTM has been previously seized from the present Nicholas Maduro led government.
The cash was going to be distributed amongst about 62,000 resident health workers across the country by Monday. Each health worker was supposed to receive $300 each in installments that would be spread over three months.
The government of the United States of America gave the responsibility of sharing the funds to the opposition party led by Juan Guaido.
As per the US government statement they follow in the steps of major countries as they recognize only opposition leader, Juan Guaido, as the only legitimate government in the country.
The main reason why many governments all over the world consider Guaido as the legitimate leader is because of his ardent role as a speaker in the country’s parliament. In Guaido’s tweet on 20th August, announced that crypto exchange AirTM was going to be in charge of distributing the funds via crypto to the health workers across the country.
One of the crypto analysts, Matt Ahlborg tweeted that this was the perfect move of the Guaido. In his tweet, he said that the US government choosing Guaido to share the seized corruption funds of the Maduro government was one that would benefit all the health workers in these trying times.
