Binance.US To Cut Trading Fees To Celebrate Bitcoin Halving
In the time when the world is ready for Bitcoin’s block reward milestone, Binance undergoes its own ‘halving’.
Bitcoin is just days away and everyone is waiting for the event expected at block number #630,000. Binance, the leading cryptocurrency exchange that shares cryptocurrency live charts has decided to honor the milestone by giving the 50% discount on trading fees to US customers. Binance.US will cut their users' trading fees to half once they buy crypto on the exchange ad start trading.
As per the announcement made on Twitter on 9th May 2020,
“#Bitcoinhalving is right around the corner and we’re offering half off trading fees when you use the Buy Crypto button on http://Binance.US or in the mobile app. Witness history…from your couch!”
Binance says the event will start from May 6th at 9:00 AM EST until May 17th at 9:00 AM EST in a bid to ease the users transitioning into the third halving period.
Binance halving discount is only for US customers who use its desktop platform, the iOS app, or Android app. The order book transactions are not included in the discount on trading fees.
The announcement also states that the fees discounts will be offered in a cashback of half the original trading fee displayed. It reads,
“You will receive transaction fee cashback for the purchase that is equal to half off the fee. The cashback reward will be distributed to your Binance.US Wallet within 3 business days following the end of this promotion.”
