Coinbase Adds Google Chrome Extension to its Native Wallet
Popular Crypto Exchange Coinbase announces the addition of Google Chrome Extension for its native wallet. The new addition will enable users to connect with decentralized applications and decentralized finance directly on their desktop.
Coinbase head Sid Coelho-Prabhu explained that more than 1 million Coinbase Wallet users regularly connect to applications like Uniswap and Compound. The new extension will simplify this process, eliminating the need to scan a QR code on their mobile devices every time they connect.
Coelho-Prabhu stated:
“Starting today, we’re making it much simpler to access and use these dapps on desktop with the Coinbase Wallet extension. The new extension allows for instant access to dapps on desktop — after linking your Wallet account to the extension once, you are free to browse all dapps with one click.”
This extension will also support users trading on decentralized exchanges and collecting non-fungible tokens or NFTs. Decentralized applications like Rarible, OpenSea, SushiSwap, Matcha, Synthetic and Aave are also supported.
Coinbase is the world’s largest Cryptocurrency Exchanges, with its Coinbase Pro platform processing over $10.6 billion in transactions in 24 hours, CoinGecko reports
Coinbase also became the first exchange to file for a public offering. The company’s COIN shares hit the Nasdaq in mid-April. Like other newly listed stocks, COIN also experienced extreme volatility in its trading history, recently COIN tumbled below the $250 pre-listing reference price.
