Akoin And Jeev Will Digitize Medical Access In Rwanda
Akon’s stellar based blockchain network and cryptocurrency -Akoin has now come in partnership with the healthcare solution ‘Jeev’. Both organizations will work towards the improvement of healthcare to millions of people in Rwanda and the rest of Africa.
As per the sources, the company will soon digitize patient health interactions by putting them on a blockchain.
The goal of the partnership is to expand Akoin’s motive to improve social opportunities and access to financial services to countries all over the African continent.
The partnership will enable Jeev in using Stellar- based Akoin token for providing blockchain-based medical service for digitizing healthcare across the entire patient life-cycle—from in-person interactions with doctors and patient records to diagnostics.
The founder and U.S.-based surgeon, Dr. Sanjeev Kaila pointed out that akoin token will strengthen all financial and reward exchanges throughout the Jeev platform and enable the service to expand its reach across Africa.
“Offering the Jeev application within the Akoin platform extends our reach beyond Rwanda into other countries throughout Africa, together improving the quality and cost of healthcare in developing countries.”
The co-founder and current president of Akoin, Jon Karas stated that the company is very happy with the Jeev partnership and was looking forward to bringing digital healthcare services to the public.
Akoin has been in the process of establishing major partnership all over Africa and it had announced that it wants to become main currency for the Mwale Medical and Technology City (MMTC) in Western Kenya earlier this year for which it has pushed forward with the plans to build the eponymous Akon City in Senegal.
