IndiaBits is a cryptocurrency community group in India and they uploaded a copy of the questions to Minister of State relating to cryptocurrencies in Rajya Sabha. The questions were “a)whether Government has prohibited cryptocurrency in the country; b) if so, the details thereof; c) whether Government has taken note about the prevalence of cryptocurrency in the country; d) if so, the details thereof; and e) the action taken against the persons who are responsible for running the cryptocurrency in the market?” The community received the answer in response to the questions such as: “a) & b) No, Sir, c) & d) Taking note of the issue, the Government has constituted an Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) under the Chairmanship of Secretary (EA). The IMC has submitted the report to the Government.”
