Agents from the Bureau of Immigration, the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission and the National Police’s Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group raided the offices of Grapefruit Services Inc. in Pasig City on Sept. 11. The tip was given by the Chinese Embassy saying that thousands of investors from mainland China to lose their money. Around 277 employees were arrested as suspects for leading the unauthorized online investment operations. The Chinese government also canceled their passports by putting their status as a criminal.
