According to the local news outlet, the authorities in China have seized 7000 crypto mining machines that have been illegally consuming electric power. The cryptocurrency mining seizing was a part of an inspection. Tangshan police along with State Electric Power Department and other authorities conducted this inspection and looked for suspicious electricity use. Last year in April, the authorities seized 6,890 ASIC miners and 52 high-power transformers. Police stated that the crypto miners were stealing electricity from a nearby village and machines were operating 24 hours a day, consuming electricity at rates up to 40 times those of a regular family.
