Bitcoin scammers used Brexit as a trap to bribe British citizens and asked for two million dollars ($2.5m) in Bitcoins (BTC) to maintain the local economy. The scammers took the help of physical letters and pretended to be the private secretaries to Queen Elizabeth II. Paul Ridden, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Smarttask (United Kingdom, UK, founded Information Technology firm), shared a photo of the letter sent to him on 24th September 2019 on his LinkedIn to mock the effort. The letter stated that 19 billion British pounds to be paid to the European Union to save the economic condition of the state, out of which 82% has already been pulled together by the Queen’s part.
