The DeFi protocol has figured out a way to entice users to upgrade to its new v2 platform: pay them more money. Liquidity mining, also known as "yield farming," entails putting the cryptocurrency in a fund and lending it out to others. When users lend or borrow Bitcoin, DAI, GUSD, USDC, and USDT, the platform will pay them in Staked Aave starting today. The Aave Improvement Proposal 16 proposes that the Aave protocol be used for liquidity mining.
