VanEck has launched a $30 million venture fund, VanEck Ventures, targeting early-stage fintech, cryptocurrency, and AI startups. Led by former Circle Ventures executives Wyatt Lonergan and Juan Lopez, the fund will make pre-seed and seed investments of $500,000 to $1 million in 25 to 35 companies. It focuses on stablecoins, tokenized assets, and innovative financial marketplaces, aiming to reshape cross-border payments and capitalize on the convergence of blockchain and AI technologies. This initiative expands VanEck's crypto engagement, following its earlier moves with Bitcoin ETFs.
