The scheme, active from June 2022 to July 2024, falsely promised profits from oil tank storage rentals. Geoffrey Auyeung of Washington was indicted for laundering funds via 81 bank accounts and 19 crypto wallets. Authorities already seized $2.3 million in fiat. Victims reported at least $17.9 million in losses. If approved, total recovered funds will reach $9.4 million.
