Former President and Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump has shown interest in using Bitcoin to address the U.S. national debt problem. During a meeting, Trump asked if Bitcoin could help solve the $35 trillion debt issue, as revealed by David Bailey, CEO of Bitcoin Magazine, in an X space discussion. Bailey mentioned that he discussed Bitcoin's potential as a reserve asset to back the U.S. dollar, an idea initially proposed by Presidential Candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. Bailey, who has ties to Trump's campaign, also noted his involvement in a speech where Trump pledged to protect Bitcoin from regulatory challenges posed by Senator Elizabeth Warren.
