Liberland is notable for its governance model, which heavily incorporates blockchain technology, including a blockchain-based election system. Sun, who was elected in early October 2024, aims to develop the micronation as a libertarian haven with a decentralized, cryptocurrency-driven economy. While Liberland is not recognized by the UN or its neighboring countries, it aspires to become a model for future governance using crypto principles.
