Do Kwon, the founder of Terraform Labs, is opposing the SEC's extradition request. Kwon's lawyers argue that it is "impossible" to bring Kwon to the United States because he is still indefinitely detained in Montenegro. They also argue that providing written testimony to the SEC would violate Kwon's due process rights under U.S. law. The SEC is suing Kwon and Terraform Labs for allegedly defrauding investors in the collapse of the TerraUSD stablecoin. The SEC alleges that Kwon and Terraform Labs misled investors about the stability of TerraUSD and that they engaged in insider trading.
