Beijing and Suzhou, the cities of China, will issue a total of 40 million yuan (US$6.2 million) in the latest trials of the nation’s digital currency. According to the notice issued by the government, Beijing will distribute 10 million yuan in digital red packets via a lucky draw. Every digital red packet will contain 200 yuan (US$31) users can spend these digital yuan both offline and online till 17th February 2021.
