A Stearns County, Minnesota resident has lost thousands of dollars in an online cryptocurrency scam. The victim responded to an ad on social media that promised high returns on cryptocurrency investments, but never received any returns. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office is warning residents to be aware of cryptocurrency scams. Scammers often use social media and other online platforms to target their victims, promising high returns on investments or offering to help people set up cryptocurrency wallets.
