Yu Xian, founder of SlowMist, warned Telegram users about an increase in phishing attacks on the platform. He highlighted that due to Telegram's open-source nature, phishing links and scam bots are easily spread. Attackers are using "Anonymous Telegram Numbers" to lure users and steal assets from their TON wallets. Xian advised users to enable two-step verification for added security. Criticism was also noted regarding Telegram's gaming ecosystem and its conflict with the platform’s privacy-focused philosophy.
