Singapore banks are reportedly under scrutiny following a series of crypto-related crimes in the country. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is said to be investigating several banks to determine if they have been complying with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) regulations. The move comes after a number of high-profile cases involving cryptocurrencies, including money laundering and fraud. MAS has stated that it takes such cases seriously and will take action against any financial institution found to be in violation of AML and CTF rules.
