Inferno Drainer, a notorious cryptocurrency phishing and scam service, has reportedly shut down its operations after amassing over $80 million in stolen funds from unsuspecting victims. The group's decision to cease activities comes amid growing scrutiny from law enforcement and cybersecurity experts. According to a report by crypto security firm Scam Sniffer, Inferno Drainer had been active since at least March 2023, utilizing a network of phishing websites and malicious browser extensions to steal cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from unsuspecting users.
