Michael Saylor’s Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) completed a $2 billion fundraising via zero-coupon convertible notes maturing in 2030 to buy more Bitcoin. The company acquired 20,356 Bitcoins for $1.99 billion at an average price of $97,514 per Bitcoin. This brings Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings to 499,096 BTC, purchased for $33.1 billion at an average cost of $66,357 per Bitcoin. The stash is now worth approximately $47.8 billion. Despite a 4% drop in Strategy’s stock price, it has surged over 250% in a year. Bitcoin currently trades around $95,000, below its peak of $109,000.
