Reportedly, Tech giant Samsung has announced plans to produce new 3-nanometer(nm) mining chips that are expected to be 45% more energy efficient. The company commenced work on the chips in late 2021, with help from its various subsidiaries, namely Ansys, Cadence, Siemens, and Synopsys. Moreover, these new chips are estimated to have 23% higher performance and will reduce carbon emissions in the mining industry.
