The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced on Wednesday that it would delay its decision on Hashdex's proposed spot Bitcoin ETF for at least 75 days. The SEC stated that it needs more time to consider the proposed rule change and the issues raised therein. The SEC has already delayed its decision on Hashdex's proposed spot Bitcoin ETF twice before. This is the latest in a series of delays by the SEC on decisions about spot Bitcoin ETFs. The SEC has not yet approved any spot Bitcoin ETFs, and it is unclear when it will do so.
