The largest banking institution in Russia, Sberbank, continues progressing with the development of its blockchain-based platform for issuing digital assets. The deputy chairman of the executive board at Sberbank, Anatoly Popov, affirmed that the bank is planning to have registered its digital asset issuance platform with the Central Bank of Russia by September 2021. Adding, Popov asserted that the bank started building functionalities to allow third parties to issue digital assets by the end of the year.
