The lawyers of Ripple and its CEO Brad Garlinghouse and co-founder Chris Larsen have requested Judge- Analisa Torres to compel the SEC to produce documents regarding Bitcoin and Ethereum. The regulatory authorities have deemed the two largest cryptocurrencies as “non-security assets.” Ripple stated that “the economic substance” of its XRP’s transactions doesn’t differ from that of two of the world’s largest cryptocurrencies. However, the SEC claimed that documents related to Bitcoin and Ethereum were irrelevant to this case.
