The ongoing legal battle between Ripple Labs and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has taken another turn, with Ripple gaining an upper hand in the proceedings. The SEC's latest attempt to prevent Ripple from accessing relevant internal documents has been denied by a federal judge. The SEC filed a motion to prevent Ripple from reviewing the internal emails of its executives, arguing that doing so could potentially harm the agency's ongoing investigation. However, Judge Analisa Torres ruled that Ripple had a "substantial" likelihood of success in proving that the documents were relevant to the case and that they were not protected by attorney-client privilege.
