Ripple CTO David Schwartz and Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson have found themselves in a clash of opinions regarding the contentious "ETH Gate" theory. This disagreement between two prominent figures in the crypto space has reignited discussions around one of the industry's most debated topics. The debate resurfaced during an X Spaces event featuring Hoskinson over the weekend. Hoskinson outlined two narratives surrounding the theory. The first narrative suggests that Ethereum officials may have established connections with internal SEC staff to secure favorable regulations for ETH compared to other crypto assets. Conversely, the second narrative alleges that Ethereum may have used its influence with the SEC to initiate legal actions against Ripple and XRP, according to some crypto enthusiasts.
