One more crypto firm received a national charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Cointelegraph reported today that Washington-based institutional crypto custodian Protego has become the second crypto firm to receive the license from OCC. Protego is now authorized as a national trust bank rather than a traditional bank, meaning that it will not handle deposits. They have only 18 months in hand to launch operations as it's a new firm before the current charter expires.
